Dr. Shank completed her masters in Psychology from Boston University before graduating with her doctorate in Psychology from Pacific University in Portland Ore. Dr. Shank provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to patients from infancy (pre-term infant developmental evaluations) to young adults up to 26 years of age. She specializes in autism diagnoses, congenital brain disorders, concussion, and brain injury evaluations, learning disability testing, as well as general assessments of attention and executive functioning.
Her approach to assessment is based on the rehabilitation model which focuses on using cognitive and personal strengths to compensate for neurological challenges. Using a strength-based model allows for those who are being evaluated to walk away from testing able to recognize their gifts, build resilience, and develop tailored treatment programs. Her passion is working within treatment teams to help the client create their best self.
