About Dineen

Amy received a Bachelor of Arts in History from San Francisco State University followed by a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, Sofia University.

Her work is born out of a heartfelt compassion for people who live their lives while dealing with mental, emotional physical and spiritual challenges that life can present. Her perspective is that each person has the ability to heal their own life and believes her role is to listen, provide support and assist people in finding and developing their inner strengths and coping skills.

Amy works with teens and adults. Her approach is client-centered, culturally sensitive and non-judgmental. She specializes in trauma, attachment and relational issues, life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, eating disorders and body-image concerns. Amy uses a combination of talk therapy, mindfulness and somatic modalities, EMDR, DBT, CBT and parts work.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Amy traveled the world extensively. Living and working abroad has given her a deep appreciation for diversity and the interconnectedness of all things. In her free time, she loves being in the outdoors, enjoying the arts and playing with her dog.
