About Finter

“It’s an honor to be trusted with someone’s surgical care. Seeing my patients, getting to know them, and working with them to help them get back to the activities they enjoy is very rewarding.”

Dr. Erin Finter is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in total joint replacement and reconstructive procedures of the hip and knee. Committed to restoring function and improving quality of life, her practice focuses on minimally invasive techniques, including direct anterior total hip replacement. This approach provides the potential for less pain, faster recovery, and improved mobility for patients who qualify.

From a young age, she always aspired to be a doctor. Dr. Finter attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate education and Georgetown University for medical school, graduating cum laude from both institutions. She completed her internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Chicago and her fellowship in joint replacement surgery at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Finter chose joint replacement surgery for the profound impact it has on patients’ lives, allowing them to return to their activities without debilitating pain.

A native of Bend, she is thrilled to practice in her hometown. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. An avid golfer, Dr. Finter also enjoys lake life and boating at Billy Chinook during the summer and skiing with her family in the winter.
