About Cypcar

Katie has long held an interest in psychology and medicine. Prior to entering physician assistant school, she worked in mental health for four years. During that time she was also a wilderness first responder and CPR/First Aid instructor. She became a medical provider in order to interact meaningfully with people and care for the needs of the entire patient. She chose a career in physical medicine and rehabilitation because it enables her to partner with patients to prevent injury, control pain, enhance function and support improved quality of life. From a medical perspective, she finds this field fascinating because it encompasses a breadth of medical disorders and injuries in any organ system. Katie enjoys collaborating with her patients and other medical professionals toward a common goal, and cultivating relationships based on mutual respect and trust. 

An Oregon native, Katie and her husband moved to Bend after pursuing higher education and enjoy outdoor activities, music and art, eclectic food and our healthy vibrant community.
