Devon was inspired to study sociology and go into medicine by Indiana Jones and Dr. Quinn. Leaving her hometown of Steamboat Springs, CO, she studied at Lewis and Clark College and lived for ten years in Portland, OR, before pursuing midwifery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. After practicing in western Massachusetts, she and her family moved west to the high desert in 2021.

Devon is passionate about providing individualized, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care with the most up-to-date medical evidence and research. She believes in supporting normal, physiologic processes and using a hands-on approach in labor and birth. Devon enjoys providing gynecologic care across the lifespan and is especially interested in perinatal mood disorders and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

When not at work, Devon enjoys Central Oregon’s many outdoor activities with her family and dog. She also enjoys watercolor painting, gardening and cooking.

Ariel joined St. Charles Center for Women's Health team in 2023. She completed her undergraduate degree in western Massachusetts and earned her first master’s degree in nursing from San Francisco State University.

Ariel worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 12 years. During this time, she fell in love with the midwifery model of care and physiologic birth and aspired to become a certified nurse midwife. She earned her second master's degree in nurse midwifery 2022.

Ariel enjoys exploring Central Oregon with her family. She also loves reading a good novel and attending her children’s sporting events.

Kiley Hewett has been a certified nurse midwife since 2017 and part of the St. Charles team since 2021. Her journey to midwifery began at the young age of 7 after watching her brother be born into the hands of a midwife. She was fascinated by pregnancy and the labor and birth process and felt called to midwifery. She completed her bachelor's degree in nursing at Boise State University followed by her master's degree in midwifery and women's health at Case Western Reserve University. 

Kiley's experience as a midwife has spanned from a free-standing birthing center to a large teaching hospital and now St. Charles Bend Family Birthing Center. She enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about being present with women and their families throughout the labor and birth process. She also enjoys providing well-woman care and has special interests in contraceptive care and care for teens. When Kiley is not catching babies or in the clinic, she can be found exploring the beautiful outdoors with her husband, two sons and dog Otis.
