About On-Demand Visits

On-demand virtual visits are telehealth appointments available on a first come, first served basis providing access to experienced, specialty-trained NPs and PAs under the supervision of board-certified gastroenterologists who can order labs, imaging, procedures and prescriptions. On-demand visits are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST. AVAILABLE APRIL 23!

On-demand virtual visits connect you instantly with a GI provider—no appointment needed. Just use a device with internet, an updated browser, and a working mic and camera. After completing registration you will be immediately placed in line for a visit.

 

No appointment needed! Just click “Start Visit” above to begin. You can also find the On-Demand GI Visit page by searching “On-Demand GI Visit” on the St. Charles website or visiting the Gastroenterology homepage. Complete registration and intake and you will then be placed in the virtual waiting room. If it’s outside operating hours, you’ll be added to the queue when the waiting room opens.

 

On-demand virtual visits are ideal for most common GI concerns. Providers can evaluate symptoms, diagnose, prescribe treatment, and order labs or procedures if needed. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

 

On-demand visits are available for insured patients aged 18+. Valid insurance info is required at registration. Cash-pay and certain plans, including some plans needing prior authorization or referrals, aren’t eligible. These patients can still be seen by other providers at the practice, please call (541) 706-4220 for assistance.

 

Wait times vary based on the number of patients ahead of you, but the average wait is about 30 minutes. After entering the virtual waiting room, you’ll receive a text and email when your provider is ready, so there’s no need to stay in front of your screen. You can complete registration anytime. If it’s outside operating hours, you’ll be added to the queue when the waiting room opens

You’ll need a device with internet, camera, microphone, and a web browser, plus access to your registration email. No apps needed—just join through the link sent via text or email.

 

If you have trouble during registration, use the help chat button to request assistance. If you have trouble connecting to your visit, make sure your camera and mic are enabled. Try joining from another device if needed. If issues continue, the provider may call you to complete the visit by phone.

 

On-demand visits are billed like regular office visits. Make sure to provide up-to-date insurance information during registration. Any remaining balance will be billed after your visit. To avoid delays, call (541) 706-4220 to provide payment or inquire about your account balance.

 

If a prescription is necessary, the healthcare provider will send it directly to your preferred pharmacy.

 

If you're having an emergency, call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency room. On-demand virtual visits are NOT suitable for emergencies.

If you have an urgent GI concern, that is NOT an emergency but needs timely attention, on-demand visits may be a great alternative to visiting an urgent care or emergency department.

 

You will not be able to select a specific provider for an on-demand visit, but rest assured that our on-demand providers are a highly trained and highly skilled group of clinicians just like you would experience in the office.
