Renelle Taylor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has worked in residential treatment, Child Protective services and ultimately finding purpose and fulfillment as a behavioral health therapist. Her undergraduate studies focused on human communications, psychology and criminology, and she obtained a Master of Social Work, through Portland State University.
Renelle has years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults of all ages, and families. She primarily treats individuals who present with complex trauma, depression, anxiety, neurodevelopmental disorders and grief. She treats families that present with estrangement, parenting and communication challenges, parental separation and conflict, loss and family stressors.
Renelle's practice places an emphasis on the client-therapist relationship, as well as psycho education, and collaboration with individual's plan of care. Her intention is for therapy to be supportive, reparative, empowering, informative, and meaningful to individual. She utilizes Attachment, Developmental, and Systems lens, recognizing that each person's experiences shape how they view themselves, others, and the world around them.
Renelle is trained in, and experienced with, several treatment modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Strategic Family Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Supportive Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and suicide risk assessment and management. She is also a facilitator for Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), supporting St. Charles caregivers and community members, as they navigate exposure to trauma and acute stress.
Renelle’s balance in life includes spending time with her family, enjoying live music, and exploring the great outdoors, through hiking, paddle boarding, camping, foraging, star gazing and travel.
