About Jacobson

“I lead an active life and am passionate about health and fitness. Helping my patients return to the activities they enjoy inspires me.”

Dr. Jacobson is a fellowship trained sports medicine physician experienced in athletic injuries, sports medicine, and arthroscopy. He specializes in surgical and non-operative treatment of the musculoskeletal system, bones and joints, with a primary focus on shoulder care. In two decades of experience he has treated professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes of all ages. As one of the Pacific Northwest’s most sought after shoulder surgeons, he is involved in numerous research projects to develop improved shoulder arthroplasty products and improve outcomes for his patients. He was elected to be an active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, the most prestigious shoulder society in the world. Advancing through the membership levels requires numerous achievements and was a seven year process.

Dr. Jacobson earned his medical degree at UCLA. He completed his residency at Duke University and sports medicine fellowship at Southern California Center for Sports Medicine, and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Jacobson joined The Center’s team of expert physicians in 1995.
